I've got a messed up netbackup configuration and can't seem to even
address the tape library properly. I'm a newbie, trying to understand but
I'm overwhelmed. I've been searching and searching the archives and have
been able to find some info but I can't be sure if I'm on the right track.
1. I've got to do this all from the command line. I don't have access to
the GUI as I'm doing this remotely.
2. For every backup I try to execute, either scheduled or manual, I get a
"no storage units available for use (213)" error.
bpperror lists.
1094084620 1 4 4 oradev 0 0 0 *NULL* bpsched cleaning job DB
1094084621 1 4 16 oradev 0 0 0 *NULL* bpsched scheduler exiting - no
storage units available for use (213)
1094085220 1 4 4 oradev 0 0 0 *NULL* bpsched cleaning job DB

2. output from tpautoconf -show is different from tpconfig -dl
oradev# tpautoconf -show
HP ThinStor AutoLdrH33r /dev/sg/c1t5l0
Drive 1: - Not locally connected or robot not serialized.
Standalone or unserialized drives, or robot not locally connected:
oradev# tpconfig -dl
Currently defined drives and robots are:
Drive Name HPUltrium1-SCSI0
Index 0
NonRewindDrivePath /dev/rmt/0cbn
Type hcart
Status DOWN
Shared Access No
TLD(0) Definition DRIVE=1
Currently defined robotics are:
TLD(0) robotic path = /dev/sg/c1t5l0,
volume database host = oradev
sgscan shows
oradev# sgscan -v
/dev/sg/c0t0l0: Disk (/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0): "FUJITSU MAP3367NC 0106"
/dev/sg/c0t1l0: Disk (/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0): "FUJITSU MAP3367NC 0106"
/dev/sg/c0t6l0: Cdrom: "TEAC CD-ROM CD-532S 1.0A"
/dev/sg/c1t4l0: Tape (/dev/rmt/0): "HP Ultrium 1-SCSI E00P"
/dev/sg/c1t5l0: Changer: "HP ThinStor AutoLdrH33r"
robtest allows me to contact the tape library and move tapes so I know
that I am contacting the library but I just can't seem to get netbackup to
see it and use it.
How can I get my tape library configuration straight so that I can start
accessing it properly??
Thanks for the help, I'm at my wits end,
Miles D. Oliver
