I'd suggest letting the master control the robot. It's not required but
it's expected, IMO.
I would think this would be just like adding a new media server, then using
the "bpmedia -movedb" command to transfer the control of the tapes from the
master/media to the new media.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Split master/media server.
Hi all!
I`am about to slipt a master/media server apart to one master and one media
server. I would really appreciate some thougths about this procedure.
Our env is HP-UX 11.11 and netbackup 4.5 FP5.
Is there any advantage/disadvantage on which of the two, master or media,
that should control the robot?
Best Regards
MVH / Hampus Lind
