[Veritas-bu] Tapes not writing

Folks,

    In our on going saga of the new build - - We have the SUN V440 (Sol
9) connected to the ADIC i2000 via dual FO into 6 FO LTO2 drives.  We
have run tests and tweaks that have resulted in 72 to 91 MB per sec on a
single drive and 28 to 30 per drive when all three are writing.

    Then we loaded VERITAS 5.1 and configured a basic setup all via the
wizards.  When we ran our first test policy - having the server backup
itself, the silo loads a tape and then just sits there for quit a while.
Minutes later the app 'expires' the tape and begins to try a different
tape.  Occasionally, it even downs the drive. WHAT HAVE WE MISSED??? !!
