Subject: [Veritas-bu] Old DB tapes being frozen

Hi all, I have a frozen tape report that looks like the following:

Frozen Media Report for the last week
004745, it contains NetBackup database backup data and cannot be used for
backups DH2018, it has had at least 3 errors in the last 12 hour(s) DH2022,
it contains NetBackup database backup data and cannot be used for HH0734, it
is write protected and cannot be used for backups HH0874, it is unmountable
and cannot be used for backups HH1012, it is write protected and cannot be
used for backups HH1094, it is write protected and cannot be used for
backups

The error that concerns me is the first one about the database backup data.
It looks like that some time ago some of our DLT tapes were used for catalog
backups. (NetBackup DB backups)

My question is how can I remove that info from the tape so that NetBackup
thinks its okay to use the tape.

Is there an easier way than mounting all of these tapes and writing a tar
file to the tape, or doing a dd copy to it?

Thanks,
Taylor
