Very handy, indeed.

I just brought them all back, did a massive awk/grep/sed/hack/slash
against
them and sent them all back using bpgp.

Now I'm going to try the multi-select on the GUI for the NT servers.

There is always the very handy but unsupported "bpgp" command.

The Windows side is easy enough; just highlight all your windows clients
in the GUI and edit them all at once, instead of one by one.

For the UNIX side...
<Assumptions and BS>
Since there is no method to access the bp.conf settings on the UNIX
clients through the GUI like there is on the Windows side, I would guess
that bpcd on UNIX clients can't handle it, meaning that there wouldn't
be a decent NBU utility to do it either. I think you might be out of
gas on that one.
</Assumptions and BS>

I usually script mass updates, but they still require a method of
getting files/updaets out to the hosts. If remote shell and remote copy
features can't be used, you _could_ script something with NFS or FTP.
If there's a better way to do it - sign me up!

I've got a wide enterprise of clients & I need to alter the bp.conf file
(and the Windows equivalent) remotely.

Specifically, I've got to cleanup the "SERVER=" and "MEDIA_SERVER="
entries
without altering all the rest of the bp.conf file's entries. There's a
bunch of SERVER= entries the need to be pulled and another bunch of
MEDIA_SERVER= entries to be added.

Is there a nifty-cool way to do this that doesn't require root to be
able to
remote-shell (rsh, ssh, etc) to the client? I've played with
bpsetconfig &
bpconfig but they're not going to to it.

I can type each of 16 media servers into the GUI for each of our dozen
or so
NT servers but I'd rather just script it on the master.
