Subject: [Veritas-bu] vmquery question re: assigned-only tapes by volume
group
We have: NBU 3.4 HP-UX 11i master. We are currently migrating a live NBU
3.4 database to a live NBU 4.5fp6 database in chunks, and today's task is to
move robot0 over to the NBU 4.5 master. I've already done the tpconfig/add
STU work, now we need to move the media. I'm trying to get a list of all
"assigned" tapes on the 3.4 master for robot0's volume group before we move
them into the 4.5 master. To get all tapes in this VG, vmquery -h
<3.4_master> -w -v 00_000_TLD. I'd like to whittle this list down to the
"assigned" tapes only *without* making any changes to the assignment
information. I can see a switch "assignbyid" but I'm afraid this will make
changes. I don't have a test server to play on, does anyone know how I can
get the assigned tapes list? Am I using the wrong command? Thanks a lot!!
