You can use the

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpimagelist

command to find out the image id(s) and then use

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpexpdate

to change the actual retention of the image.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] changing retention after-the-fact

Greetings!

Is there a way to change the retention period of a normal backup after
the backup has already been run? I realize I could just remove the
tape(s) from the robot to insure that they won't get over-written, but
won't the catalog just expire the tape(s) anyways?
