Hi All,

We have Netbackup 4.5 DC and we are using the vault add-on product for it.  We 
have a total of (1) Master/Media Server and (2) Media Servers.  All running on 
a windows platform.  Our tape library is an HP 10/180 which has has 5 drives.  
On the vault profile, it is set up to use to 2 drives for tape duplication.  We 
are not creating the vault copy as part of the backup policy.  I know that 
several factors can influence how long a vault tape duplication takes, like 
number of backup images to be copied, size of images, library drive speed, etc. 
 But we have noticed that for some reason, then the vault job runs, there 
appears to be alot of network activity going on.  I was under the impression 
that once a vault job runs, and begins to do tape duplication, there should be 
very little network traffic since there shouldn't be any actual backup images 
being transferred across the network.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  If you are using vault how long 
does your vault job takes to complete?  Any help/suggestions are greatly 
appreciated.

By the way our last vault job ran for from friday night until monday around 
noon before it completed.
