Jim,

yes we've seen this before on selected servers. We've blamed it on strange
things happening with VSP snapshotting a drive and then trying to back up
the virtual drive when the backup runs overnight, it seems to do a
rediscovery of the drives of some sort after a certain amount of time
leading to the three new streams. Spookey, ey? :)

We only have Windows 2000 Server, no network drives either and the
additional streams did not appear initially but later during the backup.
The whole thing disappaered though at some point, either when we upgraded
to 4.5FP6 or 5.0, not sure ...

Regards
Martin

 Hello.

I've got an anomaly on 2003 servers being backedup with NBU 4.5.

During a full backup and autodiscover drives I get double the amount of
streams for some reason.

On the given server, there are only three physical partitions such as
C/D/E + system state. Yet, I'll get three failed streams in addition
but trying to back up H/G/I. H/G/I don't exist and the policy doesn't
allow backup of network drives. There are no network drives the machine
is attached.

Anyone seen this before? Weird.

Thanks
Jim
