Make sure a valid buffer size is set on the clients registry. Also make
sure the client job tracker is not running. During the backup, look at the
Media Servers bptm log for extensive delays and adjust accordingly.

We have a unix server (media attached) with solaris 8 the client is a
windows 2000.
Making ftp betwen both servers copying files of 500megas we have a
7000kb/s rate, but a normal backup takes up to 13 hours (2 gigas) has
somebody experience with something like this ?
