As far as I know, if it was backed up with RMAN, it needs to be restored
with RMAN.
The file structure on client2 must be identical and the restore must be
initiated
from the client being restored to. client2 must have access to the RMAN
catalog
via the RMAN "connect rcvcat un/pw@rmandatabasehost_instance" command
The backup files and their information are saved in the recovery catalog
and
are useless without it. Please see the Netbackup for Oracle System Admin
Guide Page 135.

If someone knows otherwise I'll be glad to hear about it.

HI,
I have a NB 4.5.1 FP4 Solaris 8 server. I also have 2 NB clients, both
Solaris 8. One NB client, client2, wants to restore rman data from
client1.
I have created n file under altnames to facilitate this. My problem is,
the
backup was done with RMAN on client1, and client2 wants to initiate a RMAN
restore of client1's data. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished??
Thanks for the help!
