Yup, no new keys required; just me misreading the manual.

thanks, Phil

We're using the same keys we've had since 3.4. Then again, we have a site
license, so it might be the way that it is written.

We received new keys and was told it was due to the
new version. I know I had just received new keys for FP6.

We do have a yearly service contract with Vertias. Just
another way they hit you for money :)

Has anyone seen a difference in client licensing with version
5.X??

Are new licence keys required? The installation manual seems to suggest so.
I presume this to be because the product name has changed ... or is it not a
free upgrade?

thanks, PHil

I've done it with 3 Wintel Master/Media with no problems-in fact, I don't
think it even required a reboot. Though it says you have to, I found that a
logout/login was sufficient.

Hello,

Has anyone done an inplace upgrade on a

Wintel Master and Media server?

I have 15 Windows 200 clients and 1 HP-UX

11.0 client. The Master, Media, one Wintel and

HP-UX are on the SAN fabic.

Veritas says it should be possible to do a seemless

upgrade from 4.5 to 5.0 (SP 1)?? Is that true?
