I would suggest installing ksh/perl or a similar shell/scripting language on 
the windows master. 

Or you could do

bpimagelist -media -policy policy_name > bpimagelist.txt
for /f "tokens=1 delims= " %i in (bpimagelist.txt) do @echo %i

For status
bperror -U -backstat -hoursago <HOURS> 

se bperror -help for more options.
