Hi All,

We have a FC 6 x LTO-II drive L180, we vault our backups onto a LTO-I tape
as the LTO-II drives can write LTO-I tapes.
However [and here is the show stopper], when we try and re-import the
vaulted tape reading it on a SCSI LTO-I drive, NB gets the images but fails
miserably to import any images of the tape complaining of tar
blocksize/checksum error.

I have trawled the net trying to get a documented, definitive answer as to
whether this is possible or not and I have drawn a blank. Can any one point
me in the right direction or let me know if this can be done or not.

One of the reasons the L180 was purchased was because of its ability to
write LTO-I tapes [and hence us vaulting to them - we have a LTO-I L60 in
our DR site].

Cheers for any help - It's appreciated
