Thanks for  the info. I can do rsh to each other
machines. May be I have to reinstall the client.

Usually I set the policies on server side. 

The moment the client is installed on any machine the
server has the full control to backup any partition or
drive( provided in the policy)

How do I prevent on client side so that other
partitons ( say /opt) are not backedup even if the
policy says to backup /opt filesystem.
