I've been having a lot of trouble recently with my backup tapes. They will
cycle through once, freeze, or otherwise begin to error out. I have even
tried adding two new catalog tapes, labeled CAT003 and CAT005.
I created these labels myself using CODE39 labels. Library recognizes them,
so does Netbackup. But when it goes to try to mount these tapes...
unable to mount media because it is in a DOWN drive, misplaced, or otherwise
not available(164)
I've re-inventoried the library. It sees the tapes are there. it knows
which slot they are in. all drives are up, and the tapes aren't even in it.
Any ideas?
(the other popular error, by the way, is media write error(84))
