The question was not how to perform an Exchange backup but if people are
backing up the system state. Two completely different animals.

Also, try this for exchange 2000 backups: Microsoft
Information Store:\*

Without the * (star) we have had some problems with the
backup as a 'no files exist message' is returned. Some nights it works,
others it does not when using: Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage
Group

For Exchange 2000 your directive should be:

                Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage Group

                Jack

                Hi Folks.

Do any of you backup the System_State for your exchange
servers. If
so, are you utilizing the same policy to backup you
Information Store?
