If the st.conf file doesn't have additional luns defined then you'll not see
all your drives at the OS level.

The check is to drop to bios mode then do a "reset-all" then a
"probe-scsi-all"

If the probe-scsi-all shows all the scsi devices but a "boot -r" doesn't
build them, then it's probably inadequate/incorrect entries in the st.conf
file.

Yes, the os can detect them as /dev/rmt/1cbn and /dev/rmt/2cbn. Already try
to reboot -- -r with no avail.
Cheers...

Robert, have you run drvconfig then tape... So that the OS sees the device
or a boot -r? sgscan will not see the device until the OS knows about it.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] /dev/sg/c3t3l2 drive mapping

Hi folks,

Need to check which file should I edit to have a new tape drive mapped. The
machine can detect /dev/rmt/1cbn and /dev/rmt/2cbn with mapping below

My #sgscan all
/dev/sg/c3t3l0  -> the Autochanger
/dev/sg/c3t3l1    -> /dev/rmt/1cbn

But I couldn't get a mapping for /dev/sg/c3t3l2 for /dev/rmt/2cbn in sgscan.
I am using NetBackup 4.5 with Solaris 9 here.

Fibre direct connect with two drives daisy chain.
Thanks
Robert
