[Veritas-bu] RE: VSP and Catalog Backups

I have the same problem and Veritas claims this a known issue that is the
result of McAfee Virus
scanning software locking the VSP virtual disk. The only way around this is,
according to Veritas,
is to exclude from the virus scan all drive letters not being used by the
server so that the VSP
virtual disk is never locked. It is not enough to exclude *.vsp from the
virus scan. Veritas
then suggested upgrading to the latest version of Mcafee which can exclude
"files" based upon what
process or service owns the files, which seems to suggest that you can exclude
*.vsp from the virus
scan. Are you running Mcafee or another anti virus package?
