Hi all, big issue for us right now.

We are testing our DR site, and the library we are using here is slightly
different then the one we normally use.  The LTO tapes have 8 characters,
all of them end in L1.  Normally, at home we just read the first six, i.e.
HH0001 and not HH0001L1.  To fix this, we have tried to use the media id
generation rules in veritas.  We have tried both via the GUI and just
editing vm.conf.  

the entry in vm.conf is MEDIA_ID_BARCODE_CHARS 0 8 1:2:3:4:4:6 but everytime
we do a volume update of the tapes in the import slots, it returns 0000L1.

Any ideas, I have been out to Veritas site and see quite a few questions
raised, but all of the fixes we have taken care of.  Nothing seems to be
helping.
