Where can advanced reporter be obtained?

I would suggest to all that are interested to look into advanced
reporter it is not the real time application for operators that you
might be looking for but it is a good tool for reporting backup status
and trends to management that want a closer hands on in your backups
status. It has all the bells and whistles(read pie charts and graphs)
that management likes and it also provides a way to do trending and
allows you to keep your backup status longer than "log retention". It
stores all the information in a mysql database which also gives you the
ability to pull the data using other scripts.

You do not need to be an admin to check or look at the NetBackup jobs.
You do however need to be admin to run the Activity monitor. What needs
to be done is give the user privileges to run the command bpdbjobs. On a
UNIX 
platform you can run the command nonroot-admin in the
directory /usr/openv/netbackup/bin. This will give
non root or non admin users the ability to watch active,
and completed jobs.

We have purchased an application from Tavata Software, that
not only gives us NetBackup job status reports, but preventative 
alarming and real time monitoring of our NetBackup environment.

We are also looking at them for SAN monitoring, and reporting.
