not exactly sure what it is you're trying to do, but if you want to be
able to write to a tape and leave it in the library but not allow it to be
written to again for a period of time, you could suspend the tape using
the bpmedia command. Unlike freezing, suspending the tape will allow it
to expire (in a NetBackup sense, not within Media Manager) and become
unassigned normally. While it is suspended it can be used for reads, but
will not be used for writes.

Create a Volume Pool called Offsite and move the tape(s) into it. The
jobs
themselves will pull tapes from your main pool so as long as no job is
referenced to pull from Offsite the tapes/data will be safe.

Can anyone give me a command with wich i can set individual tapes offsite
or
offline so the tape remains in the NB databases but will not be used for
backups?
Thanks
