Yes. It is also worth a look. We saw a preliminary version of that product =
prior to Vision when we had a Veritas engineer on site doing some consultin=
g work for us. It looked good but still can be kinda pricy (in true Veritas=
form). But definitely worth looking at if it's ready for prime time.

or look at the VERITAS Service Manager for Storage product that was demo'd =
at Vision and is on their web site. It's supposed to come out very soon. =
They talked about beginning of October at Vision and I haven't heard anythi=
ng about it slipping. I think it's being renamed again though...=20
It's NOT a new version of GDM or Advanced Reporter. It's a completely new =
product.=20

We also looked at Advanced Reporter initially and did not go with it becaus=
e it wasn't very flexible or easily customizable. We also looked at third p=
arty products which included offerings from Aptare, Bocada and Tavata. Afte=
r going through the evaluation process we opted to go with the Aptare produ=
ct, which we will be installing here within the next week or so. I urge you=
to look at all the possibilities because I can see viabilities in all thre=
e (depending on the make-up of your environment). The Aptare product seemed=
to come closest to suiting our needs. You might find one of the other prod=
ucts may better suit your needs.=20
