[Veritas-bu] p4000 stress test

I did what Donald has recommended. I created a small test backup and
with all but one drive shutdown ran that backup 3times against each
drive. Sure enough the troublesome device became obvious. I had
explained to my hardware provider the problem was not with Veritas but
with the hardware. When all was said and done I am now on day 4 with 2
out of 6 drives down. They showed up today with the wrong drives and
asking for yet another day to get the equipment here.

I've done similar testing by offline drives in sets and seeing if the
problems persist or go away. With some careful tracking you can
sometimes narrow it to a drive. Don't forget to check your system logs
for recorded SCSI error & the like.
