I'm fairly sure that's what a Netbackup Catalog backup is.
Send it to disk.

Can anyone confirm this?

that raises a question in my mind: since the backup tapes (including
those of the catalog and other NBU config. files) are simply in gnutar
format, couldn't something be ginned up to scrape the files out of there
if you were *really* desperate? -wde
