[Veritas-bu] Exchange 2000 redirected restore
2003-08-13 12:08:42
Hi, looking for a bit of help with a troubled restore.
We are trying to restore an Exchange2000 Info Store backed up from server A to
newly built server B. Everything goes well until the restore initiates. We get
errors like the following:
11:48:06 (4887.001) INF - Beginning restore from server BACKUPSERVER to client
ServerB.
11:48:08 (4887.001) TAR - Microsoft Information Store:\
11:48:08 (4887.001) TAR - Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage Group\
11:48:08 (4887.001) TAR - Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage
Group\Private Information Store (SERVERA)
11:48:08 (4887.001) (4887.001) WRN - error writing object: Microsoft
Information Store:\First Storage Group\Private Information Store (SERVERA)
11:48:08 (4887.001) (4887.001) WRN - error writing byte: 0
11:48:08 (4887.001) (4887.001) WRN - desired byte count: 56832
11:48:08 (4887.001) (4887.001) WRN - actual byte count: 24
Server B has plenty of space available in the directory to which we are trying
to re-direct it. We redirected by specifying "put recovered files in a
different directory but preserve directory structure", and keeping the default
settings for both client and destination client of "Microsoft Directory
Store:/". ServerA and ServerB keep their Stores on different drives.
Any sugestions as to why we're getting these errors?
