[Veritas-bu] Windows 2000 Recovery !

Is there any chance that you can get by without restoring the system state or
overwriting the existing system files ? I am very interested in this problem.
This is something we have never had to do, and we don't hear anything but
problems on those types of complete system restores.

Hi Guys !
I am trying to restore my Windows 2000 Server. I reinstalled the OS,
reinstalled Veritas and restored the C:\ (including System_State) (with
overwrite existing files option checked). But when I reboot my server after the
restore, it fails after showing the Windows 2000 logo. The error message
on the blue screen is "Inaccesible boot disk".
I did use the "w2koption.exe -restore -same_hardware 1" command as per a
Veritas tech.doc.
The server is IBM Netfinity X342 with IBM Raid controller(I beleive it is 4L).
I use Veritas Netbackup 4.5 FP3.
Any idea?
Thanks much,
- Karun
