Looking on the Veritas Support site I cannot find anything on whether RedHat
9 is supported, but I'm hoping somebody out there can help.......


Cannot get a backup of a 4.5fp3 client on a RedHat 9.0 box (Master Server is
running 4.5fp3 as well)

The job fails on the master server with a 174 (media manager - system error
occurred), after backing up 3Gb+

Looking at the server logs, each time it fails it issues "Critical" Severity
messages, listed below.

28/06/2003 22:33:34 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21255 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2056257720 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512
29/06/2003 02:38:51 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21255 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2070479032 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512
29/06/2003 10:58:23 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21502 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2084602040 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512
29/06/2003 15:09:21 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21507 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2098659512 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512
29/06/2003 23:30:00 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21528 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2112749752 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512
30/06/2003 03:39:29 dtvsvb1 dtv00014 Critical 21533 Backup attempted to
write 1 gigabytes, 2126807224 bytes, it is not a multiple of 512

On the client side, bpbkar always exits normally at approx the same time the
job on the server wimps out.

Anyone seen anything like this before?
