I run the 4.5 GUI on 3 XP machines with no problems.  My impression is that
the Java GUI has always stunk, regardless of your platform.  I know it
stinks on Windows.

I believe we're talking about two different things here. The Remote Admin
Console is Windows based ... and then there's the Java GUI. If I'm not
mistaken, those are two entirely different things. I am unaware the Windows
based Remote Admin GUI won't work in an XP environment. Tammy's previous
response would probably fix the problem.

I actually posted a follow-up to my question on this exact issue a week
or so ago.

The Java Admin Console is not supported on XP, period.  The fact that
everything works except the Activity Monitor is irrelevant.  It will be
supported in 5.0.  For now run something other than XP and it will
work...
