Marco,

Storage Migrator for Windows requires a Windows based media server in order
to write to secondary storage devices such as tape and optical. The protocol
used between the File System Agents and the Storage Migrator Service
components requires Windows based machines at both ends. You can however at
the Windows based Storage Migrator Server share a UNIX file system with
Samba or another CIFS share software so that the Windows Storage Migrator
Server can use the UNIX file system as secondary disk storage.

I have a UNIX NBU media server and VSM for W2K. I have setup my VSM server
and it works. I was under the impression that I could get it to send my
migrated files to my UNIX NBU server. If I understand how this works
properly, I should be getting have a UNIX Media Agent...but that is not on
any of my CDs.

Am I missing something?
