I had a similar problem with our windows setup. I found that id I
entered the clients fully qualified name the problem was resolved.

I have NBU 4.5 running on Win2k.  I had my UNIX guy install the client
on the HP-UX server and I added a policy and typed the name of the UNIX
server in the client field.  When I try to browse the file system I get
this error "Unable to connect to NetBackup host "oracle".
