Are you direct attached to the library (Arbitrated Loop) or are you
going thru a switch (brocade, mcdata etc etc) in fabric mode.

Who's driver stack are you using, SUN's or Qlogics. Sun's stack does
not work correctly with LTO drives on fiber channel.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] TLD drive marks down by Netbackup...

Hi,

Setup consists of M2500 ATL library with 4 drives and 8slots connected
in a SAN.
Netbackup Server is Sunfire 280R with Solaris 8 and Netbackup 4.5, still
no maintainance pack installed.
When fired a backup, the backup happens on all the drives and suddenly
few drives marks it as down. When checked in /var/adm/messages, I was
able see
some "Loop OFFline" as below.
Is it causing a problem ????
OR can someone suggest when Netbackup marks the Tape Drive down ????

# tail -f /var/adm/messages
