I'm having trouble backing up a linux client to an NT master/media server:
Both are NBU 3.4.1
The bpcd log on the client shows:
13:01:46 [16043] <2> bpcd main: offset to GMT 18000
13:01:46 [16043] <2> bpcd main: setup_sockopts complete
13:01:46 [16043] <2> bpcd main: no authentication required
13:01:46 [16043] <2> bpcd main: output socket port number = 783
13:01:46 [16043] <8> bpcd peer_hostname: gethostbyaddr failed :
HOST_NOT_FOUND (1)
13:01:46 [16043] <16> bpcd peer_hostname: gethostbyaddr failed to return
peer host, herrno = 1
bp.conf has:
SERVER = veritas
CLIENT_NAME = jezebel
VERBOSE = 9
both veritas & jezebel entries are in the clients /etc/hosts file
I dont have access to the NT server right now as the admin is not in
today, but I'm trying to do as much troubleshooting as possible.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks.
