I just ran into this with a new install with the SDLT 320. The sun patch
does something very strange and unfortunaltly i don't remeber the EXACT
way the fix worked but basically it ran something like the systems seen
the drives as "SDLT320" and the document (both from veritas and quantum)
said use "SDLT 320" the space in the file name
was messing it up and causing the system to not use the driver. I maybe
reversed on it as i don't have anything written down on it but check
/var/adm/messages you will see that the comment on the SDLT doesn't
mattch the one in your st.conf entry. When you find the right
combination of space/no space it will show up correctly.

        Hi,=20

Well, I think that Paul want to talk about 107825-10 which take
consideration about the SDLT 320 for Solaris 8.=20

No need to modify st.conf with this patch.=20

The new one is 107825-12.=20

105515-16 is for Solaris 2.6.=20

Wow Paul,=20

And here I thought Veritas and Sun were tight partners? LOL!=20

Seriously, on www.sunsolve.sun.com in the patch section, look for patch=20
105505-16. It will tell you that it contains an update for the new SDLT
320=20
drive. When you download it you will find that the st.conf has NOT
changed=20
but a "strings st | grep SDLT" will show that the driver itself
apparently=20
now knows about the new Quantum Super DLT 320 drive.=20

Hope this helps,=20
