Backup on one system, restore to anotherfx is correct. I misread the
original post, thinking it was NBU-unix to NBU-WinX

The BENT tape format is completely different from NBU's.

I am not too sure this is actually possible. It sounds like it=92s a =
case
of Netbackup creating the Tape in a format that maybe Backupexec cannot
read.

Don=92t believe its anything to do with the actual platforms of the
products.

I have a problem as stated below. I wouldn't think it would be an
issue, but is apparently is.

I performed a backup of a WinX box using a UNIX master (ver 3.4) and
sent the tape off to one of our vendors. They are trying to restore the
data using BackupExec (ver 8.5).

Is there an issue with backing up using Netbackup on a UNIX master an=
d
restoring with BackupExec w/ a WinX master?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
