Hi folks,

ENV:
NetBackup 4.5 DC MP3 on Solaris 8 with SSO.
2xL700 with 10xDLT8K in each library.

DESrCIPTION:
According to the official Veritas document:

"VERITAS NetBackup Performance Tuning for Version 3.2/3.4
UNIX Operating Systems rev. 1.51"

I've setup SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS = 64512 because in document
is written that SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS should be 65536
but for Solaris (for Solaris ONLY !) it should be 64512.

PROBLEM:
I'm in duobt, because I'm not sure what should I use ?
64512 or 65536 ? Why Veritas recommend smaller buffer
especially for Solaris ?

In this document is written also:

"For Digital Linear Tape (DLT) drives the number that seems
to give the best performance for SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS is 65536.
Further performance improvements from that point on are gained
by increasing the NUMBER_DATA_BUFFERS."

regards,

Darek
