Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies. I am not really a Unix guru, and one of the
challenges for me is.. my only access to the Solaris box is to SSH. So
interacting with this database on the solaris box is going to have to go
thru ssh. I will read up on mysql and see what kind of interface it has.
The interface is going to have to be pretty much as dynamic as access,
but be located right on the Netbackup Server (Solaris)...

All of the class and netbackup info can obviously be read only, then
the fields which we will need to edit will be for our purposes only...
such as billing account number and customer contact person, alternate
contact... etc.. etc..

This is a huge priority for us, any more ideas would be much
appreciated ! !

Hi Poul

You could use some of the CLI commands to populate a mysql or similar
database on the Solaris box.

Another way I have seen done is to make a tape pool pr customer and
then charge pr used tape/GB.

I don't if NBUX has something like this, try to ask PLB.

Regards
Michael
