I am running Netbackup 3.4 Patch 3 on my windows 2000 Media Server.
=20
The master server is on Solaris. And the jukebox is a scalar 1000 with
10 drives.=20
=20
6 for the master and 4 shared between 2 Windows 2K Media servers.
=20
Last night all the jobs on this server failed, as the storage unit
became unavailable. All 4 drives were down.
So this morning I upped the drives, and kicked off the jobs again on
both servers.
=20
Server A ran fine, however after 20 minutes server B went down, I could
not ping it, however I could go
To the server and login. However I was unable to ping out from the
server
>From the event log
=20
TEAM 1 : PROBLEM: A Failover occurred : The Primary NIC was not
receiving. ACTION: Please check your cabling or switch port status, or
run diagnostics to test card.
=20
So I rebooted the server and it came back up and was on the network. =20
=20
=20
Then about an hour later the same thing happened, this time I stopped
the Veritas Services and the server came back onto the network,
=20
This is the 2nd time this has happened, last time it was on Server A.
It looks like Veritas is overrunning the server and taking all the open=20
Sessions, and somehow blocking network traffic.
=20
Anyone ever encounter this?
=20
I have a case open with Veritas Support, and I wanted to see if anyone
had any insight.
=20
Thanks
Robert
