[Veritas-bu] Linux Redhat 8 backups on Netbackup 3.4
2003-03-10 10:22:05
Hi Kevin, is there a special client install file for Redhat 8?
I ask because under /usr/openv/netbackup/client/Linux I only have one Redhat
directory file whereas under /usr/openv/netbackup/client/Solaris I have the
option of choosing which version of Solaris the client is running.
Regards,

Yes,
But there is a Netbackup limitation that will not allow you to backup files
that are larger then 2 gig in size. I believe they are releasing a fix for
it in Q3 of this year.

Hi, is it possible to backup Linux Redhat 8 on Netbackup Datacentre 3.4, or
do I have to upgrade to 4.5?
Regards,
Steve.
