With the proliferation of lang filenames, I would specify the long
namespace, but the best way to tell, it seems to me, would be to get
some of the filenames he says are on the mac and nfs space and look at
the backups to see if they are being backed up. Long namespace will get
the dos files also.

Folks,

I am backing up a Netware 6 server. The client admin tells me that
they have files in various namespaces on the server, e.g.: DOS, Mac,
NFS, etc. I specify the DOS namespace, and backup up everything
visible, but the admin says that some files will not be visible in one
namespace if they only exist in another; i.e.: every file does not
have
a representation in every name space.

1) do I need a different target for each namespace?

2) if not, then do I have to do anything special to make sure
that
I back up files in all the namespaces?

Thanks,

   Mark
