If you fear the OTM is causing hang or crash, you definately need to get the
kernel mode driver out of the way, rather than just disable through the GUI.
That said, getting the config right through the GUI (which seems fine on
3.4.1) is the secret to minimising (but not removing) the system error 11s
and such.
