If you're trying to use old catalog tapes as data tapes, you'll have to
recreate the label at the beginning of the tape. Check out the "bplabel"
command.

I'm reusing some older NetBackup catalog tapes via
"/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpbackupdb -v", and got this error:

#####
Subject: BkupDB on - 168 NetBackup Database Backup Status

Host: neon
Date: 02/18/2003 08:00:00

NB database backup to media id A00121 FAILED

Exit status = cannot overwrite media, data on it is protected

NO paths were backed up
#####

Googling didn't give me any clues on this error, or how to fix it. The
tape itself is not write protected. What do I need to do to "unlock"
this tape?

Thanks,
Wade
