I had a similar situation and did a lot work trying to figure out how to set 
this up and open a minimal number of ports on the firewall.

After reviewing the amount of configuration work involved, I decided against it 
and went with a another alternative.

        We have a problem configurating netbackup to backup an oracle
database trough a Media Manager. We have a firewall between the Master
Server and the client, and we want the backup to go through the Media
Server. ¿Is this posible? ¿Do we have to open ports on the firewall?

            We have netbackup Data Center 3.4.
