I never made the claim I tested the 9940B's, just stated that I tested
9940's and I never mentioned capacity. I'll bet you a 6 pack that you're
*VERY* wrong on the price of LTO2. LTO2 pricing from what we can tell will
be closer to what LTO is today, once LTO2 comes out it will force LTO's
price to drop, much like you see in other tape markets when new generations
come out. This is also the same thing your sales team is saying, so they
are either full of it or you're mistaken that the price of LTO2 is going to
go up by 20K. ;) I'm not surprised that you're sticking up for the 9940's
since you're an STK employee, but the thing is still EXPENSIVE!! Head life?
That's what warrantee's are for and for backups/restores that take 8+ hours
I don't care if the thing loads fast or not. Thats not to say it's a bad
drive either because it is a good drive, I guess it's just not something
that I ever plan to use because it's price doesn't fit the application here.
