For what it is worth.
One way I have found with Unix clients is to add the CLIENT_NAME = <source
host> to the bp.conf
file on the alternate client. This gives you an option to select the
source client from the java interface.
The only problem with this is that you need to remove the CLIENT_NAME from
the bp.conf file after
your restore is complete, so that the normal scheduled backups will run
properly.

Subject: RE: [Veritas-bu] Issues with Java gui
Paul-
I have had various issues with the java gui as well. :( The one that
sticks
in my mind is that 90% of the time when trying to initiate a restore via
the
java gui, the destination client tab is grayed out. This prevents me from
restoring to an alternate client which is what I want to do 100% of the
time. I have had little to no response/support from Veritas on this issue
(which is the norm) and my only fix is to use the windows gui or command
line. I have applied all patches from the Veritas support site and this
hasn't resolved anything. Veritas recommends applying the patches, and
after telling them I have, they go into 'side-stepping mode'. This makes
me
think they know of the issue but are not prepared to address it.
Has anyone got similar/different results?

Hello all. In setting up the Oracle backups via Netbackup, I have come
across an issue, and want to
see if anyone else has seen this. When trying to "right-click" on the
policy to add the script,
there is no option for new script. Then I tried my windows based version
of
the AdminConsole, and
it worked fine.
I thought that both were the same?
Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks
Paul
