I have found that sometimes stopping all of the nbu services for a few
minutes then starting them will get it done.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to kill a dead backup job without rebooting the
NetBackup Servers? We are using NetBackup 4.5. We have tried this below
and all failed to cancel or delete.

1. Try to cancel from the Activity Monitor
2. Delete the job number from %install%/netbackup/db/jobs/xxx (after I
delete the jobs number, netbackup immediately recreate the same job
number again)
3. Used bpdbjobs -delete <job number>

All above won't work on our master servers.
