You would need a different product called "Bare Metal Restore" commonly =
known as BMR to enable an Operating System recovery.
Justifies cost, only if you have too many O/Ss to backu in ur env.

If you try to back up Solaris as a whole using normal Netbackup backup, =
you will not be able to recover the O/S directly.
You will have to boot it up with a different disk and restore backup to =
the lost disk. This is quite painful procedure.

BMR is the best option to safegaurd the O/S backup . Its quite similar =
to Jumpstart process of Solaris, where in you build a machine based on a =
pre-defined boot parameters and post install scrips. Similarly BMR help =
to build the lost O/S .
