Make sure you have touched /etc/notrouter and rebooted your systems.
Basically, the startup scripts looks for the /etc/notrouter file and if
the file exists, the startup script does not run in.routed -s or
in.rdisc -r and does not turn on ip forwarding on all interfaces
configured " up" . This ignores the /etc/gateways and your machine is
now setup as a muti-homed host.

  <pre wrap="">Hi All,

I have installed secondary hme to all my sun boxes on a perticular site, and
also deployed a media server. All the clients on the site use the media
server.

Now i gave all the backup clients seconary hostnames and IP's for the second
hme, and configured so the media server used these secondary names and ip's

However i'm not sure that the backup traffic is being forced ONLY via these
interfaces, what is the best way to be sure. I was ran a snoop on the second
hme during the backup and saw traffic, but i just want to be certain that no
NBU traffic will still spew out of the hme0

Any ideas.

Thanks

Laurence
