Hi, I posted this query a while ago and concluded that you had to be in the
local administrator NT group on the machine to run the admin console
applications.
However we are now looking at upgrading to Netbackup 4.5, and having read
some of the details on latest enhanced authentication / authorization
options it appears that it may be possible to grant other less priviledged
users the rights to operate netbackup - can anyone confirm if this is the
case?
Thanks in advance
Paul
Hello,
I have a relatively simple query which I'd appreciate your help on.
We're running Netbackup Datacenter 3.4 on Windows 2000. There are a number
of operations staff who need to be able to run the Netbackup administration
software on the master server, however they have not been given local
administrator rights to the machine. Does anyone out there know a simple way
to allow them to use at least selected Netbackup Administration console
applications
such as activity monitor without granting them full local admin rights to
the machine?
Thanks and Best regards
Paul Wilson
