Dave,

If I understand what you are asking correctly, I would do the following:

- check expiration date with bpmedialist
#bpmedialist -ev $MEDIA_ID -M $MASTER_SERVER

- change expiration date with bpexpdate
#bpexpdate -ev $MEDIA_ID -d mm/dd/yyy hh:mm:ss -M $MASTER_SERVER

The medialist command will give you output like this:

 id rl images allocated last updated density kbytes
restores
           vimages expiration last read <------- STATUS
------->
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NTW01    4      1   04/01/2002 09:13  04/01/2002 09:13     dlt   2337953
0
                1   06/02/2002 10:13        N/A

Well, hopefully a little neater than that. :) The last date/time showing
is when it expires and will be removed from the db.
